Conventional telescopic bleachers need tall tiers, which rules out venues with a low ceiling. The Gentleman Series steps down to as little as 130 mm per tier — so height-restricted halls, activity rooms and refurbishment projects can still have full stepped seating.
Electric Telescopic Bleachers Built for Education Venues
The Gentleman Series is an electric telescopic bleacher system developed by IEQ for kindergartens, schools and multi-purpose halls. Extended, it forms a stepped seating bank; retracted, it folds into a compact stack against the wall and gives the whole floor back to the room.
The electric drive keeps every row travelling in parallel and in sync. An upper guide rail and a lower slide rail form a double guidance mechanism, working with an adjustable stroke linkage on each row and an automatic row lock, so the bleacher opens and closes row by row — no skewing, no jamming.

Each tier can be as low as 130 mm, so venues with limited ceiling height can still be fitted with stepped seating.
Shaft-Drive Electric Motor
An aluminium worm gearbox drives the transmission shaft and drive wheels — smooth, quiet running at 0.17 m/s.
Synchronised Parallel Travel
Double guidance mechanism plus an adjustable stroke linkage keeps travel perfectly parallel; rows open and close in sequence without skewing.
Silent Damped Return
Torsion-spring seat return and one-way damped backrest fold back gently — no banging, no impact.
Complete Safety Package
Self-nesting guardrail over 1,100 mm high, row locks against accidental retraction, emergency stop and a retraction warning bell.
Maintenance-Free Castors
Twin-hardness rubber wheels of 100 mm or more, five per column to spread the load — equally at home on timber or concrete floors.
Low-Emission Materials
E1-grade MDF end panels, fire-retardant anti-slip treads and laser-cut high-density foam.

- Cantilever centres at 500 mm or less for stable support
- Anti-corrosion treatment plus electrostatic powder coating

- Quality linen-blend or faux-leather upholstery — hard-wearing, colour-fast, pill-free
- 15 mm plywood seat and back inner boards; 9 mm padded armrest top
- 18 mm or thicker anti-slip plywood treads with fire-retardant edge sealing
- L-profile aluminium front edge plus an 80 mm aluminium anti-slip strip
